Our Mission
At Sault Hockey Officials Association, our mission is to provide the highest quality training and support for officials of all levels. We are committed to helping our officials get the most out of their season while keeping them safe and organized.
Green Armband Program
The Green Armband Initiative is used for officials under the age of 18 in an effort to reduce the harassment and abuse of hockey officials.
A green arm band does not identify an officials skill level and does not indicate "rookie" status.
All officials under the age of 18 will wear a green armband on their left arm to raise awareness that the harassment and abuse of officials will not be tolerated.
Complaints
The Sault Hockey Officials Association takes all concerns seriously and is committed to maintaining a fair and respectful hockey environment. Formal complaints can be submitted through the SPWHL website, where they will be reviewed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
